What Covid-19 Procedures does BDT follow?
Currently, our performances provide audiences with a mask-optional procedure along with an upload of your vaccination card or negative Covid-19 test within 36 hours of a performance. However, these rules are constantly adjusting to fit within the venue’s Covid-19 procedures and ultimately, DePaul University’s procedures. To be best informed, check out the show page on our website to be sure you follow procedures and can enjoy our show!
How can I get involved?
There are many opportunities at BDT for you to be involved! Audition dates can be found on our website and our social media. In addition, if you would like to direct, work stage crew, or handle anything else backstage, we hold interviews for creative teams and crews. These dates can be found on our website and our social media as well. You may also sign up for our email blasts and become a member of Blue Demon Theatre through DeHub. BDT members must be current DePaul University students.
Visit our Get Involved page of our website for more information:
Do I have to be a theatre major to be involved?
Absolutely not! At BDT, we welcome everyone of all different majors and backgrounds and we pride ourselves in the inclusion of various majors such as business majors, STEM majors, education majors, etc. that are involved in our productions. We want to create art with anyone who is interested in theatre, regardless of major!
How can I join the BDT executive board?
Applications for next year’s board will be available towards the end of the school year. In the meantime, you can make yourself well-known and trusted by fellow BDT members by being a part of our productions as an actor, director, and/or other creative member!
What shows are being performed?
We are proud to share that this fall, we will be producing a mainstage production of “The Fall: A New Musical” written and composed by DePaul student, Charlie LaBerge. In addition, we are producing “Broadway Cabaret: A Journey Through Time” which is also written by DePaul students, Anmarie D’Ortenzio and Grace Provan. As for our winter and spring productions, they have yet to be announced, so be sure to follow our social media accounts to be the first to find out! Otherwise, stay updated on our website for future production announcements!
