Show Synopsis

A tale told in two parts.

The first: a folk retelling of the story of Cain and Abel, set in a timeless autumnal forest. Cain must navigate the many people and spirits trying to convey conflicting views on the meaning of life. His parents, Adam and Eve, and the force of Destruction among them. When Cain's brother, Abel, and friend, Marigold, attempt to run away from home, Cain takes a stand for the first time in his life, attempting to violently stop them, to disastrous results.

The second: a contemporary play that hits the same beats as the story of Cain and Abel. Cole is upset with the confusing state of the world. He is constantly hounded by different religious and political views from his mother, his brother, his teachers, and the internet. Cole becomes engulfed by the radicalization he sees. When Cole's brother and girlfriend attempt to run away from home, Cole attempts to violently stop them, but finds a new way of ending different from that of Cain.

"The Fall: A New Musical" will attempt to tackle the topics of mortality, spirituality, belief, and toxic masculinity. Through this "two tale" format we hope to open the audience to new interpretations of their morals, and portray how easy it is to lose oneself in the uncertainty of life.
