There are many ways to get involved with Blue Demon Theatre!
We welcome all DePaul University students to join our organization no matter how much theatre experience you have.

Acting

We are always looking for actors throughout the school year. If you know how to dance and sing, we would love for you to do one of our musicals! If you just want to act, you can be in one of our mainstage plays or original works! Audition information will always be emailed to members, on the BDT website, and posted on our social media.

Become a Member

Becoming a member of BDT is easy and FREE! All you have to do is join our group on DeHub. Yearly membership is always free, however involvement fees for bigger productions may occur. Any DePaul student no matter their major, level of theatre experience, or identity may join BDT. There are no requirements for members; you get to choose how involved you want to be!

Crew

We have many positions open for each show we produce such as stage manager, set designer, light designer/operator, sound designer/operator, costume designer, makeup/hair artist, props master, and stage crew. Crew interview information will always be emailed to members, on the BDT website, and posted on our social media.

Special Events

If you have a busy schedule, no problem! BDT hosts a multitude of special events such as cabarets, variety shows, talent shows, trivia nights, guest speakers, and our annual gala that are all low commitment. Plus, admission to these events is usually free, so it's a win for everyone! If you have an idea for a special event that you would like us to organize just let us know!

Creative Team

Are you a leader? Then this is the team for you! All of our bigger shows need extensive creative teams that include a director, assistant director, choreographer, music director, assistant music director, fight captain, and vocal coaches. Application information will always be emailed to members, on the BDT website, and posted on our social media.
